NOVEMBER CHALLENGE 🖤
Bonjour my little demon, ready to collect gem #06?
Whether you just joined or have been here from the beginning, thank you so much for reading.
TODAY’S GEM
Sketchbooks are everywhere on social media—everyone loves them. But here’s the thing: drawing small can sometimes limit your growth.
If I could go back, I’d start big right away, and here’s why:
A bigger format gives you more freedom to explore. There’s a sense of space that tiny sketchbooks just can’t offer.
And surprisingly, it’s actually easier to learn on a larger surface! Bigger sizes make it easier to spot and correct mistakes, and they help you build good drawing posture from the start.
This isn’t about giving up on sketchbooks—they’re essential for any artist. It’s about expanding your approach and trying something new if you’re feeling stuck.
Challenge yourself to go bigger. You might be surprised by how much more you can see—and create.
What portrait topic would you like me to cover next?
Bisous,
Léa
