Here’s a little reminder: when I start a portrait, I always simplify the features into basic ovals. Why? Because I’m focusing on getting the head’s contour, positions, and proportions right first.
Once that foundation is set, I allow myself to dive into the details—replacing the ovals with actual features, adding hair, and layering accessories.
